ZTE to build Ethernet network in Philippines

ZTE Corporation will develop a metro Ethernet transport network, CEN (Carrier Ethernet Network) for Philippines’ Smart Communications, a subsidiary of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company. ZTE will build a bearer network throughout the nation, as part of the deal.

ZTE will employ the new-generation ZXCTN 9008/9004 IP transport products for the project, which will help bear the services of various capacities. The company mentioned that the collaboration with Smart, which has 50 million 2G/3G users, will boost the regional market share
