24 October 2017, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, launched its flagship 10Gbps home router, the ZXHN H159Q. The product delivers highly stable and efficient wireless coverage, and provides home users with symmetrical speeds of up to 10Gbps, meeting the requirements of ultra-high bandwidth FTTH/O application and offering high-speed user experience.
The ZXHN H159Q supports 3x3 11n@2.4GHz and 4x4 11ac@5GHz DBDC Wi-Fi at the physical rate of up to 2.2Gbps, enabling the home router to easily transmit multiple simultaneous HD video streams and other services. The adoption of the beam-forming technology by the router significantly improves its transmittance performance, bringing more stable and longer-range Wi-Fi coverage to users.
The router is in compliance with the IEEE 802.11ac Wave 2 specification, whose MU-MIMO feature allows sending data to four user groups simultaneously. Compared with the SU-MIMO feature of 802.11ac Wave 1, the MU-MIMO feature has improved Wi-Fi utilization by more than 30 percent.
The downstream 10Gbps Ethernet port is compatible with the attainable rates of both 5Gbps and 2.5Gbps, allowing the router to connect to more home terminals. The router also has a USB 3.0 port whose speeds are 10x faster than those of USB 2.0. The USB port not only improves file sharing through a larger USB storage, but also enables upstream LTE access via an LTE dongle.
By June 2017, ZTE's broadband CPE devices have entered more than 100 countries and regions with overall shipments of more than 260 million units. The products have been widely deployed in China as well as European countries including the Netherlands, Spain, Greece, Poland and France.
