1 December 2017, Shenzhen, China - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today announced a strategic cooperation agreement with China Mobile during the China Mobile Global Partners Conference 2017.
The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in the fields of smart city, smart home, secure terminal service platform, smart next-generation network operation and maintenance, and next-generation network technologies. The two parties will be committed to co-building a healthy ecosystem as well as encouraging efforts for continuous development in the industry.
According to the agreement, China Mobile and ZTE will focus on the benchmarking solutions in the smart city field in order to push the implementation of major applications, while in the smart home field, both parties will strengthen the interconnections between products and platforms to promote the development of smart home services. In the secure terminal service platform, both parties will collaborate on the innovation of secure office solutions.
As to the smart operation and maintenance of next-generation networks, China Mobile and ZTE will work together on the study of operation and maintenance guarantees and user experience improvement, while in the next-generation network technology field, both parties will focus on increasing investment in IoT, 5G standards, network cloud virtualization and so forth.
China Mobile and ZTE have been successfully working on the long-term cooperation projects in telecommunications equipment, secure terminal, next-generation network and other fields. By signing this agreement, the two parties will further complement each others’ resources and capabilities, create multiple high-value solutions in major vertical fields, and improve core competitiveness in the digital service field. The partnership this time will actively contribute to the implementation of the strategy for “building a country with strong networks and accelerated information”.
