22 March 2017, Hannover, Germany – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today announced the debut of its TrueMeet ET302 cloud video terminal at CeBIT in Germany. This terminal marks the beginning of a new chapter in the smart office era for ZTE. Traditional video conferencing is often only accessible to governments and large-sized enterprises due to the high-price of hardware, complicated deployment and professional operation & maintenance (O&M). However, cloud video conferencing has opened up the market and is attracting more and more small and medium-sized enterprises thanks to high cost-effectiveness and ease-of-use.
In ZTE’s ET series, the ET302 is a highly cost-effective, light-weight cloud video terminal. Unlike a traditional video conferencing system, the ET302 requires neither high-priced hardware nor complicated deployment. Unlike a software video conferencing system, the ET302 offers high-resolution, high-security and unique features. It is the industry's first cloud video terminal that supports H.265 with low-bit-rate and high-resolution technologies. Moreover, it allows the viewing of 1080P video at a bandwidth of 512K. The user interface (UI) of the ET302 is light-weight and focuses on visual feel and, more importantly, on user experience. It has high-end functions including ease-of-use without needing training, support for screen sharing, dual streaming (PC: wireless client, mobile terminal: APP), an e-whiteboard, as well as supporting collaborative working with a panoramic view all at a cost-effective price.
"In 2016, ZTE unveiled a cloud conferencing solution based on a hybrid cloud. This year, ZTE upgraded it to a cloud platform solution that supports H.265 – the ET302, which is better adapted to current Internet access environments. The cloud makes video conferencing more accessible and flexible, and with so many benefits we predict that video conferencing will be the next big thing. ZTE is committed to providing reliable cloud video communications to governments, education organisations and small and medium-sized enterprises," said Mr.Lu Ping, ZTE's VP.
