ZTE has been recognized by CDP for its leading climate action efforts and earned a spot on its highest-ranking CDP A List, representing less than 2% of reporting companies.

CDP is a not-for-profit that runs the world's environmental disclosure system for companies, cities, states and regions. CDP 'A List' recognizes companies that have played a leading role worldwide in mitigating climate change through formulating robust strategy and taking bold actions.

According to Morningstar Sustainalytics' ESG Risk Ratings, ZTE has consistently lowered its ESG risk ratings from 2021 to 2023, with scores of 22 (2021), 19.2 low risk (2022), and 16.1 low risk (2023).

Morningstar Sustainalytics' ESG Risk Ratings measure a company's exposure to industry-specific material ESG risks and how well a company is managing those risks. The rating scale ranges from 0 to 10，identifying five categories of ESG risk severity that could impact a company's enterprise value: Negligible (0-10), Low (10-20), Medium (20-30), High (30-40), Severe (40+). A higher score indicates higher risks faced by the company.

From 2021 to 2023, ZTE's EcoVadis Sustainability Rating has shown a continuous improvement: 56 (2021), 63 (2022), and 68 (2023). In 2023, ZTE has seen its EcoVadis industry percentage ranking rising to the top 10%, earning the EcoVadis Silver Medal.

EcoVadis sustainability rating methodology is built on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000, covering 220+ spend categories and 180+ countries. The Sustainability Scorecard illustrates performance across 21 indicators in four themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, Sustainable Procurement.

From 2021 to 2023, ZTE's S&P Global ESG Scores have been continuously improving, reaching 31 in 2021, 34 in 2022, 39 in 2023 and was selected into the first release of S&P Global's Sustainability Yearbook 2023 (China Edition).

S&P Global ESG Scores measures a company's performance on and management of material ESG risks, opportunities, and impacts informed by a combination of company disclosures, media and stakeholder analysis, modelling approaches, and in-depth company engagement via the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). S&P Global ESG Scores' accurate assessments do not swayed by readily available data, while also playing a leading role in shaping the sustainability landscape by introducing new topics and advocating for improved standards and disclosure over time.
