28 November 2016, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today announced that it has unveiled its latest mobile ICT (M-ICT) strategy at the ZTE VOICE Towards 2020 summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The new strategy, which aims to address ZTE development trends, was well received and was accompanied by industry discussion of ICT transition.
ZTE also held a live demo of its Pre5G FDD 1.75Gbps solution with the world’s smallest 4T4R RRU - R8854. The technical combination of 4*4 multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) and 256QAM modulation, as well as 5 carrier aggregation meant that the peak rate for a single UE reached a steady 1.75Gbps.
“This was the Malaysian debut for 1.75Gbps. ZTE Pre5G is building a bridge to 5G, enabling global operators and users to have an early experience of high-speed service, analogous to 5G, in advance,” said Mr. Ge Yuqiao, General Manager of ZTE Malaysia.
The Pre5G solution is a collection of staged technologies for the evolution of 4G to 5G. The solution, which has won several important industry awards, contains enhanced 3GPP LTE-A Pro 4G, Pre5G key techniques and products. ZTE has already cooperated with more than 20 global carriers to deploy its Pre5G solution.
