ZTE welcomes and appreciates Europe’s decision on an operable cybersecurity assessment on 5G networks, as we believe that the EU Toolbox on strategic and technical measures and the UK’s framework to manage security risks will lead to a more transparent and evidence-based method of security assessment and certification.
Cybersecurity is the highest priority for ZTE’s product R&D and service delivery, we embed security across all business units, including supply chain, R&D, service delivery and incident response and have a full understanding of our position in the cybersecurity value chain and the interaction with customers, regulators, suppliers and third parties.
ZTE has a fully transparent policy regarding allowing our customers, regulatory entities and other interested third parties to perform independent security assessments and audits in our equipment. The independent source code reviews, document review, black box testing and penetration testing allow our customers to verify the security of ZTE’s products, services and processes.
This is a continuous investment that supports our commitment in having an active role assisting our customers to strengthen requirements, shape standards, implement and evaluate security measures, and ensure full product life cycle risk management.
ZTE is committed to building secure and trustworthy 5G networks for our customers to enable a better digital life for all the people.
