17 August 2020, Shenzhen, China - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today announced that it has been selected by China Unicom in its data equipment centralized procurement 2020, with ZXR10 T8000-18 gaining a market share of 42% in the core router segment, and ZXR10 M6000-S gaining a market share of 45% in the access router segment.
ZTE's high-end routers, ZXR10 T8000-18 and ZXR10 M6000-S, are both rated "Very Strong" in the latest report released by the renowned research firm, GlobalData. ZXR10 T8000-18 and ZXR10 M6000-S will serve as core nodes and service access nodes in China Unicom's MANs and Internet data centers. The routers will help China Unicom build a flat IP MAN with clear layers, providing the operator with a future-oriented full-service integrated transport network.
In addition, ZXR10 M6000-S will also serve as the service egress gateway of China Unicom's cloud, while assisting in the SDN/NFV development of network services. It will enable China Unicom to construct a quality communication network with the integrated cloud-network transport capability.
ZTE's ZXR10 M6000-S ranks No.2 in China in terms of market share. In addition, ZXR10 T8000 has been widely used in China, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Malaysia and other countries.
