19 July 2022, Shenzhen, China - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the mobile internet, has signed strategic partnerships with two top universities in the Philipines under its plan of "Ultimate Service, Leading Ecosystem", with great commitment to implementing the Industry-Academe Linkage Program (IALP) to cultivate telecoms talents.
ZTE signed a strategic cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), the first polytechnic university in the Philippines on June 8, 2022, and signed another strategic cooperation MOU with the University of Santo Tomas (UST), the oldest existing university in Asia two days later.
The strategic cooperation MOUs between ZTE and the two top universities mainly includes internship, faculty immersion, career consultancy and campus recruitment, online seminars and forums, training camp, scholarship program, joint research exploration in emerging technology fields and so forth.
Dr. Muhi, President of PUP, said: "I am very happy that PUP is the first university in the Philippines to sign a strategic cooperation with ZTE. This can enhance the accessibility to the telecommunication knowledge for our college students, and provide them with financial support to continue their studies.”

This cooperation with the two universities under the IALP plays an important role in ZTE's ecosystem plan in the country. Moving forward, through the cooperation, ZTE can further expand its ecosystem and enhance the competitiveness with its industry partners to provide better services and products.
