ZTE shows its leading telecommunications solutions for the first time in the UK

ZTE Corporation (Shenzhen: 000063, Hong Kong: 0763), China´s largest listed telecommunications manufacturer and leading wireless solutions provider, is bringing its cutting-edge telecommunications technology to London tomorrow, when its first European roadshow visits the capital.

Visitors to the Business Design Centre in Islington, between 12-13th July, will be able to see ZTE´s advanced wireless telecommunications technology and solutions for the 3G era for the first time in the UK.  In particular, ZTE will be highlighting its vision for fixed-line 3G solutions in Western Europe.

"ZTE fully understands operators´ increasing demands for a converged solution for fixed-line and mobile networks," said London-based Frank Bai, managing director of ZTE UK.  "The solution that we will present at our roadshow covers multiple levels of access, terminals, IP and services; it can offer package and NGN-based core networks, and can realise universal user management, thus helping operators increase their competitive edge in the market.

"We believe that there is a important market demand in UK for the very large portfolio of ZTE products such as broadband, 3G and next generation networks (NGN): our roadshow will demonstrate to our customers ZTE´s outstanding capability in these fields."

ZTE has established 15 offices in Europe and has already made significant steps into the European market in 2005. In March, ZTE announced that it is to become a global supplier of ADSL equipment to France Telecom. In February, ZTE announced an agreement with Alcatel that will see ZTE´s CDMA radio access portfolio integrated into Alcatel´s CDMA end-to-end solutions. In January, ZTE signed a research and development Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Portugal Telecom and won a contract to supply Skylink, Russia´s largest CDMA operator, with an advanced CDMA network for Murmansk.

ZTE´s roadshow has already visited Turkey, Greece, Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany and France.  London is the final stop on the roadshow.
