17 November 2008, Shenzhen, China - ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”), a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, announced that it has set itself the task of playing a key role in the development of modern network infrastructures in Germany. Against this background, the company is opening a new office in Bonn.
ZTE began operating in Europe in 2000. Since then it has expanded rapidly, setting up 25 branches throughout Europe. The company is now represented in the principal European markets including the UK, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden and Turkey. ZTE Deutschland GmbH was founded in 2005 and has its headquarters in Dusseldorf. 50 people are employed at the German head office, 60 percent of them recruited locally.
Dr. Hou Peihong, head of the Bonn office and CTO of ZTE Deutschland GmbH, enthuses about the opening of this new location: "With our innovative products for fixed and mobile networks we help network operators implement new services for their customers, increase their efficiency, reduce their costs and generally become more effective and successful. Proximity to our key partner Deutsche Telekom is strategically important for us. That is why we are now opening a new German office in Bonn, the second after our main branch in Dusseldorf."
ZTE already has many years' experience of working with Deutsche Telekom. This collaboration has been stepped up considerably in the last few months, which is why the "ZTE Business Unit Deutsche Telekom" is now moving into its own premises in Bonn. ZTE's goal, amongst other things, is to support the efforts of Deutsche Telekom in setting up modern infrastructures for fixed and mobile networks.
The postal address of the new ZTE office is:
ZTE Deutschland GmbH
Ubierstr. 94

The Dusseldorf office is still and will remain the German headquarters of ZTE Deutschland GmbH.
