29 November 2011, Shenzhen, China– ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, has started offering its fixed network products to enterprise customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. For this purpose, the company has established a technology partnership with IT service provider ICT, based in Bonn, Germany, who will sell ZTE’s products and solutions for broadband enhancements to both public and private sector customers. Their collaboration with ICT represents ZTE’s first step towards establishing an independent sales channel for enterprise solutions in Germany.

By joining forces with the sales experts of ICT, the Chinese provider of telecommunications equipment ZTE can for the first time provide enterprise customers in the DACH region with an offer of its products and solutions on the open market - previously, ZTE exclusively delivered its telecommunication products and solutions directly to network operators.

With the objective of establishing channel operations, ZTE Deutschland GmbH already launched a dedicated channel sales department at the beginning of the second half of 2011; its team will be expanding in the coming months. “Over the past few years, ZTE’s growth strategy in Europe proved to be very successful. Therefore, it is the time to enter the enterprise customer market for direct sales and to further enhance our market share based on innovative broadband products,” said Uwe Prasse, Head of Channel Sales, Enterprise Customers, ZTE Düsseldorf. “With this, ZTE Deutschland takes a leading position in the enterprise customer sales of ZTE in Europe,” Prasse adds.

According to Jürgen Pallien, General Manager of ICT, the relationship between ICT and ZTE highlights a general trend: “A steadily increasing number of globally operating corporations rely on local service providers, due to their on-site availability with fast and geographically close customer support. We are looking forward to utilizing this advantage for the benefit of both our businesses.”
