Four new solutions have been announced
14 March 2014, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices, has successfully participated in CeBIT, the 2014 International Consumer Electronics, Information and Telecommunications Fair held in Hannover, Germany from March 10-14. Based on the theme ‘Make It Easy’, ZTE exhibited a wide range of efficient and converged ICT products, solutions and services, helping enterprise customers target more business opportunities and success.
At this year’s CeBIT, ZTE has made several important announcements based on new technologies, including:
The new-generation U-Safety public safety solution
ZTE’s U-Safety public safety solution provides emergency management and law enforcement organisations with trunked radio, safety management and emergency response solutions. The new-generation U-Safety solution has expanded with ZTE’s LTE broadband multimedia trunking solution, clues analysis system, law enforcement platform and public safety monitoring platform. The U-Safety solution is made intelligent and efficient through big data analysis, cloud computing and by its connection to intelligent devices via the Internet of Things.
The LTE broadband multimedia trunking solution
Based on TD-LTE technology, the solution can be used across a multitude of sectors, providing the best information and communications technology (ICT) service for customers and meeting the customised requirements of many organisations including transport, public safety and energy. The solution offers a high-speed radio transmission capability of up to 100Mbps in downlink and 50Mbps in uplink, alongside multi-party response and quick access. It provides voice calls, short messenger services and voice intercom functions, as well as supporting various high-bandwidth services including multimedia dispatch, wireless HD video transmission, multimedia video conferencing, mobile office, vehicle and personnel positioning. It also provides over-the-air encryption, virtual private networking (VPN), bi-directional access authentication, end-to-end encryption and other measures to ensure the security an,d confidentiality of communication services, successfully meeting the varied requirements of customers.
The ZTEd mobile education solution
Designed to meet the education sector’s requirements for smart classrooms, the ZTEd mobile education solution incorporates education content, methodology and information tools. It integrates the education cloud platform, interactive class system, micro video courseware production toolkit and mobile learning applications to provide a one-stop learning experience. Based on a Cloud-Pipe-Terminal model, ZTEd allows anybody to learn any teaching material, any time, on any terminal. Through big data analysis of teaching and learning behavior, it pushes resources precisely to people who need them, helps education administrators make decisions, provides guidance for students and teachers, enables results-based management and helps drive teacher-student, teacher-teacher and student-student interactions.
The Clues Analysis System
The CAS is an important part of ZTE’s U-Safety public safety solution. With its intelligent analysis of surveillance video, it can quickly identify suspicious persons, vehicles and goods for detection. This greatly improves the speed of data investigation, reduces the workload of video analysis and checkpoint investigation, prevents the missed detection caused by fatigue, and saves manpower. Based on traditional video management systems, ZTE developed the function of identifying faces and license plates among massive video clips and integrated gathering, mining and analysing massive checkpoint data. This makes the CAS industry’s first practical system that achieves a comprehensive analysis of video and checkpoints vehicle clues.
At the end of 2013, ZTE unveiled its new strategy and the development of three major divisions – terminal, enterprise and operator business divisions. The enterprise business contributed approximately 10 percent of the ZTE’s annual revenue in 2013 and is scheduled to achieve 30 percent of the company's overall revenue in the coming three to five years, becoming one of the company’s major pillars of growth and profit.
