1 October 2014, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK/Ashare stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices, will unveil its Smart City solutions including M-ICT technology for public security, public transportation and the data center at Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) 2014 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Following ZTE’s ICT industry trend report earlier this year uncovering the rapid development of the mobile (M) era, the company has established four interactive experience zones for GITEX visitors. The zone will demonstrate how ZTE customers will improve operational efficiency and enhance competitiveness with highly effective, highly flexible, and highly mature solutions that embrace the mobile-oriented, Internet of Everything (IoE), and all-around Inter-Industry Convergence (IIC).
Smart City will demonstrate four scenarios in a future connected smart city – life, business, education, and entertainment. ZTE provides comprehensive and tailored solutions for government, energy, public service, public transportation, and potential business industries. By exhibiting a smart, convenient, and aesthetically-pleasing smart city, the zone will impress and inspire visitors.
Visitors will experience smart, popular, and well-known applications such as Ningbotong and Talk915 and are invited to participate in live demonstrations of smart transportation and online education.
Mr. Huang Dabin, Senior Vice President of ZTE Corporation, said, “ZTE Smart City solutions cover a number of industries from government to transport, and vary across regions. In the Middle East, ZTE mainly promotes government, energy, transportation, and public service solutions to assist governments in better operating and managing cities”.
Mr. Huang continued, “The Middle East represents the economy, trade, and transportation hub of Europe, Asia, and Africa. The stability and development of the Middle East is beneficial to these three continents, and even across the globe. In the future, ZTE will not only be central to the long-term development of cities around the world, but also actively explore potential sales patterns, such as direct selling, channel distribution, and operator reselling, to provide the Middle East and Africa with multi-level and connected ICT solutions and services."
In addition, ZTE will be exhibiting almost 30 channel-distributed products (including the top-rated switches, up-to-date 4G routers, fixed network access products, and terminals) in an independent exhibition area.
ZTE has provided a variety of products and services (including green energy solutions) for almost 30 countries in the Middle East and Africa, providing city security solutions for over 20 countries. The company has also deployed different education solutions for over 10 countries, making a positive contribution to the education industry in the Middle East and Africa.
ZTE's smart city solutions have not only been granted domestic and foreign awards, but also implemented for over 100 cities in China and for 40 countries in the world. ZTE has grown into one of a few manufacturers with successful experience in the "Smart City" industry around the world.
