25 February 2015, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, has launched its next generation 10GE internet protocol radio access network (IPRAN) product series, featuring the industry’s largest switching and access capacity.
The ZXCTN 6000 V3.00 series, including the ZXCTN 6120S, 6150 & 6180, is designed with cutting-edge system structure and high performance energy-saving chips to achieve large capacity and high density 10GE access ability, with the compact size of 1RU, 2RU & 3RU height. The traditional 10GE IPRAN equipment currently used in access layer have very limited capability with only partial slots can support 10GE capacity. As a result, the traditional 10GE equipment cannot provide adequate 10GE access ability to satisfy the large bandwidth requirement of LTE and the future service development.
All slots of ZXCTN 6000 V3.00 can support a 10GE line card and provide high density 10GE access ability for mobile and enterprise services. The unique universal slots design can achieve 100 percent slot-utilization because there is no limitation and coupling relationship between slots and line cards. Any line card can be used in any slot to help user improve equipment utilization rate, and decrease operation & maintenance cost.
The ZXCTN 6000 V3.00 have the industry’s largest capacity to support up to 100Gbps switching & access capacity. Compared with traditional IPRAN equipment, the 10GE & GE access capacities of the ZXCTN 6000 V3.00 improve up to 450 percent and 233 percent respectively.
The ZXCTN 6000 V3.00 series adopts 200mm depth design, which save up to 70 percent of weight and space occupied, and can be deployed in diverse complicated environments including outdoor cabinets. Furthermore, the ZXCTN 6120S is the first 1RU height 10GE access equipment in the industry.
The ZXCTN 6000 V3.00 series supports diverse types of interfaces, VC4 level large granularity transport of time division multiplexing (TDM) service, advanced synchronisation solutions and seamless end to end microwave backhaul to fully meet the different network requirements of 2G, 3G, LTE and enterprise services.
Functions such as hierarchical quality of service (H-QoS), IPv6 and software defined networking-capability can help users deploy innovative services in the future. In 2014, ZTE has successfully passed SDN field tests of multiple telecom operators, making the company one of the pioneers of SDN-based solutions in mobile backhaul networks.
With powerful functionality, easy operation and maintenance capability, the ZXCTN 6000 series has won the largest global market share of mobile backhaul networks. More than 1,000,000 units of the ZXCTN 6000 have been successfully delivered and adopted by hundreds of operators around the world, including China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom, SingTel, Telefonica, TeliaSonera, France Telecom, Telenor, Etsalat, Bhart Airtel and more. The release of the next generation ZXCTN 6000 V3.00 series will significantly enhance ZTE’s advantage in the mobile backhaul market.
