Delegates at ZTE Global Analyst Conference 2015 in Shanghai briefed on company’s insights on 5G, SDN, Cloud Computing and Big Data

As the Internet of Things makes the world more connected, ZTE will intensify research on 5G, SDN (Software Defined Networks), cloud computing and Big Data to help customers build next-generation networks and technology infrastructure supporting more dynamic services provisioning, Chief Technology Officer Dr Zhao Xianming said today at the ZTE Global Analyst Conference in Shanghai. Guest speakers including Dr. Shan Zhiguang, Director for the State Information Center’s Informatization Research Department, and Hidebumi Kitahara, Senior Director of SoftBank, also addressed the conference.

In 2014, ZTE launched its ElasticNet SDN IPRAN (internet protocol radio access network) solution to help customers virtualize massive access-layer equipment, to simplify network operations and maintenance.
In the Enterprise and Government division, ZTE will focus on key industry verticals including transportation, energy, financial services, public sector and the Internet, harnessing the company’s capabilities in telecommunications and enterprise computing to build converged solutions to help customers increase productivity and generate business efficiencies, Dr. Zhao said.
ZTE’s Smart City 2.0 solutions will help drive innovations in technology and operation management for public sector customers, Dr. Zhao said. ZTE’s Smart City solutions are deployed in more than 110 cities globally to deliver high-quality public services including healthcare and education to residents.
ZTE’s Mobile Devices division will focus on user-centric product innovations to enable consumers to access cutting edge product design in smartphones, tablets and wearables, while seamlessly accessing personalized and productive applications and software.
