Copenhagen, Denmark, 25 June 2024 - China Mobile, in collaboration with strategic partners including ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, has distinguished itself among 35 global competitors to win the Outstanding Catalyst – “Rising Star” award at the TM Forum Annual Summit, held from June 18 to 20, 2024. This accolade marks a significant breakthrough for China Mobile and ZTE in leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance user perception and improve network operational efficiency.

 

The award-winning project, an AI for Customer Perception Network Optimization System, leverages advanced AI algorithms for service recognition and analysis, focusing on enhancing both user-level and service-level perception. By integrating a big data platform, native-AI Baseband Unit (BBU), and Network Geographical Insight (NGI), the system identifies and analyzes issues effectively. It employs software and hardware adjustments for real-time monitoring and prediction of customer needs and network conditions, thereby achieving personalized services and preventive maintenance. This innovative approach has significantly boosted customer satisfaction and network performance.

 

ZTE's unique native-AI BBU plays a crucial role in the system's success. Utilizing its proprietary intelligent computing boards, ZTE provides refined service recognition, perception evaluation, and automatic deployment of software parameter optimization strategies. The NGI platform offers app-level service metrics assessment, geographical grid presentation, root cause analysis of poor-user experiences, and location-based issue identification. To address quality problems, the system implements adaptive scheduling, TCP acceleration, and intelligent DRX strategies, which automatically adjust software parameters for differentiated service enhancements, thereby improving user satisfaction.
