By integrating ZTE's next-generation Baseband Units (BBUs) and AWS/B40 band products into Bitel's network, the partnership has increased network capacity, optimized spectrum efficiency, and reduced latency. In addition to network expansion, the collaboration has emphasized performance optimization through detailed analyses and targeted strategies. By leveraging key performance indicators, ZTE and Bitel have implemented advanced features, significantly enhancing network reliability and user satisfaction.
Notably, the deployment of ZTE's FDD Massive MIMO (FMM) products on Bitel's live network has increased user experience throughput by over 100% in high-traffic areas. This innovative technology delivers faster data speeds and more dependable connectivity to meet growing customer demands.
These upgrades have benefited not only Peru's urban hubs but also its underserved rural areas. As a result, Bitel's network performance has improved substantially, earning recognition on Opensignal as the "Most Improved Company in UL Rate and 4G Residency Ratio". Additionally, data from Weplan Analytics highlights reduced latency and increased throughput, positioning Bitel as the second-leading operator in the Peruvian market. Bitel marks a milestone in Peru's connectivity with the launch of its 5G network. As part of its tenth anniversary, Bitel officially presented its 5G network during a special gala alongside the President of Viettel Group Vietnam. Mr. Li Zixue, Chairman of ZTE Corporation met with Mr. Tao Duc Thang, CEO of Viettel Group ahead of the event to commemorate these milestones.
