The environmental impact of products largely depends on the management capabilities of suppliers. During the introduction of new suppliers, ZTE prioritizes environmental audits and risk assessments, supervises and audits the process, and performs special environmental audits for high-risk suppliers. By integrating environmental considerations into the quality threshold, ZTE aims to urge suppliers to improve their environmental standards.

ZTE has formulated the "Supplier Environmental Risk Assessment and Management Measures," which determine the environmental risk levels of suppliers and implement tiered control. A nine-square model is established from both supplier and material perspectives, refining the sampling mechanism, focusing resources, and concentrating efforts on managing high-risk suppliers and materials.
