According to the Egyptian power development plan, 50,410 MW of new installed capacity will be added in the next 15 years. So in 2015, Egypt government has started the 10-year staged reconstruction of the smart metering system in the country. The rigorously-planned reconstruction imposes demanding requirements on all smart meter manufactures in the world. Before the bidding, ZTE and his partners have advocated much more effores to shake hand with EEHC to collect requirements of each DISCO. Finally ZTE’s excellent performance in POC was highly praised, and wining the bidder total number of 28,000 single phase smart meters with 0.5 accuracy, 2,000 three phase smart meters with 0.2s accuracy and HES platform. Although lots of challenges,were faced in the project, ZTE has perfectly completed the entire project deployment as planned. With PowerEM AMI solution, ZTE helps EEHC improved efficiency with a unified system for prepaid and postpaid users, enhance meter reading success rate with unique communication technologies and reduce cost with open architecture. via quick implementation and delivery, the metering rate success rate over 99%, ZTE are highly appreciated by EEHC.

CEZ Electro Bulgaria AD is a power distribution company, registered at Sofia City Court on August 29, 2006. In response to the energy saving requirements of the European Union and Bulgarian government, CEZ launched the smart meter project in early 2017, and launched a bid for 192,000 smart meters and AMI platform in May 2017. In September 2017, ZTE defeated other competitors, and exclusively won the bid for smart meters of CEZ. ZTE provides including G3 PLC single-phase electricity meter, G3 PLC three-phase electricity meter, GPRS single-phase electricity meter, GPRS three-phase electricity meter, G3 PLC three-phase CT meter, GPRS three-phase CT meter, data concentrator, head end system and MDMS. ZTE cooperated with local partner to quickly complete the installation and deployment of the meter and AMI platform, and successfully reduced the line loss of CEZ by more than 70%. CEZ is very satisfied with ZTE's product quality and after-sales engineering service capabilities. In August 2018, CEZ again purchased 172,000 smart meters and corresponding concentrators from ZTE. By the end of 2019, totally ZTE delivered 364,058 smart meters to CEZ which include 13,922 CT three phase smart meters.

ENDE is the only electricity company in Angola with more than 3 million users and owe fees problems exacerbate their cash flow pressures. After a long-term in-depth communication, ZTE has full understanding the challenges faced by ENDE, and provides a comprehensive prepaid smart meter solution which can greatly improve ENDE cash flows and reduce their OPEX. From the end of 2012, ENDE has selected ZTE to provide prepaid smart meters.
