Shenzhen, China, 15 August 2024 - Dang Hong Qi Tian teams up with ZTE, China Mobile, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and Xiaomi to successfully exhibit free-roam immersive VR gaming based on ZTE's 5G-A Minimalist Private Network, open to the public during ChinaJoy 2024. By utilizing mmWave test phone Xiaomi 14 Pro, powered by Qualcomm Technologies' Snapdragon X75 – the world's first 5G Advanced-ready Modem-RF System supporting a number of advanced 5G-A features – as a terminal device, this project provides new momentum for accelerating the exploration and application of 5G-A mmWave in the field of entertainment.

This project is currently implemented in SoReal Sci-Fi Park, located in Shougang Park, Beijing, and will be gradually promoted nationwide and overseas in the future.

A major highlight of free-roam immersive VR game was ZTE's 5G-A Minimalist Private Network, which is deployed with China Mobile. This network achieves straightforward deployment with only 5G-A BBU, which acts as a proxy for the core network. The upgrade utilizes a BBU built-in board enhancing VR service reliability through its ultra-high computing power. Additionally, the MiCell solution, the industry first mmWave micro base-station with IF pooling, significantly cuts down on cost and power consumption. Moreover, intelligent beam-forming for user tracking ensures uninterrupted connectivity, which is crucial for users' movement in large space. 5G-A Minimalist Private Network also has customized XR-specific solution to ensure end-to-end reliability for VR services. This network can achieve an average air interface latency of less than 10ms for simultaneous access of more than 100 VR users, allowing them enjoy an unparalleled interactive experience.

Since its establishment in 2015, Dang Hong Qi Tian has focused on the deep integration of technology and culture, creating new experiences in digital culture. The strategic layout of 5G+XR is set to lead the evolution of free-roam immersive VR experiences in the 5G-A era. Dang Hong Qi Tian has collaborated with ZTE, China Mobile, Qualcomm Technologies and Xiaomi to promote the evolution of 5G+XR. The 5G-A Minimalist Private Network enables large-space, multi-user VR interactions in complex scenarios. This solution is poised for national and global implementation, injecting new vitality into the industry and ushering in a new era of immersive VR experiences.
