As a global leader in big video end-to-end solutions, ZTE has been committed to developing and innovating high-quality set top box (STB) devices and providing UHD TV services. Since 2015, ZTE has cooperated with KPN to provide UHD STB – ZXV8001 and related services.
With the help of ZTE, KPN officially launched 4K live and video on demand (VOD) services during the UEFA Euro quarterfinals in 2016. The project also made KPN the first operator to launch UHD pay TV services in the Netherlands. KPN’s customers were able to experience the UEFA European Championship and 2016 Summer Olympics in 4K UHD image quality and high dynamic range (HDR). Likewise, consumers were able to experience 4K streaming of media content from Netflix and YouTube through the new UHD STB- ZXV8001.
