ZTE Corporation, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions is to take part in the IMS World Forum 2007, the second round of its type in the European tourist city Monaco during April 24 - 26, 2007 as a silver sponsor.
The Forum, hosted by Informa, has drawn great attention from operators, equipment manufacturers, and other enterprises within the industry. It will focus on IMS technology and IP convergence under the background of telecom convergence and telecom transformation.
IMS supports multiple access types and applications based on its open architecture and it is viewed as an ideal platform for FMC (Fixed-Mobile Convergence). Interoperability is one of the hot issues in IMS field; the industry refers 2007 as IMS Interoperability Year. ZTE closely follows IMS evolution pulse, and will give a presentation entitled From theory to Practice: a fully interoperable global IMS framework, so as to explore IMS Interoperability issue extensively.
Recently, ZTE has successfully launched new-generation IMS-based multi-network convergence solution-ZIMS. This solution covers all functional modules defined by 3GPP, 3GPP2 and TISPAN, providing full series of network equipment for access layer, bearer layer, control layer, service layer and user data layer. It is very few in the world involving the whole system, and end-to-end IMS integrated solution. ZTE's IMS core network equipment, in 2006, successfully participated in GMI 2006, showing excellent interoperability, compatibility and stability.
As member of 50 global international standard organizations, ZTE actively takes part in IMS standardization work in SDOs such as 3GPP, 3GPP2, TISPAN, ITU-T, and OMA.
