12 June 2012, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, has won the “Green Technology Initiative” award as part of the Total Telecom World Vendor Awards 2012.
The “Green Technology Initiative” award rewards companies that have made the strongest effort in reducing the environmental impact of telecommunication services through the utilization of its products and solutions. ZTE entered its Green Converged C-RAN Solution, which offers a centralized, collaborative, clean, cloud-based wireless access network technology. The ZTE Green Converged C-RAN Solution enables what it calls "One Site, One Network", which not only helps operators reduce their TCO significantly, but also helps governments reduce CO2 emission and electromagnetic radiation.
ZTE Corporation also beat a number of large vendors and was recognized as the "Best Brand" in telecommunications in a public vote.
The third annual World Vendor Award ceremony, organized by telecommunications publication Total Telecom, was held in London, with an audience of over 100 individual vendors from Europe, North America, Middle East and Africa and Asia-Pacific. This was the first time that ZTE Corporation participated in the World Vendor Awards event.
