12 March 2014, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices, is presenting its LTE broadband multimedia trunking solution at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany this week.
ZTE’s LTE broadband multimedia trunking solution is an important component of ZTE's U-Safety public safety solution based on the industry-leading LTE technologies, featuring high-speed data transmission, low delay and high mobility. It provides professional digital trunking command and dispatching services to build a rapid, flexible, and effective wireless multimedia communications network, which can be used to improve urban public safety management.
The rapidly growing cities have an increasingly complicated social and environmental problems which pose challenges to urban administrators. In order to respond to the sudden and unexpected emergencies effectively, a better communication system capable of transmitting real-time video and images is in urgent demand. In this way, communication and information exchange between the scene and the command center can be guaranteed to perform coordinated and efficient cross-sector dispatching. On the other hand, departments such as police and large enterprises have greater requirements for mobile office and encryption in the communications systems to improve work efficiency. In addition, with the development of the Internet of Things, massive amounts of data require a break from the limitations of traditional information gathering methods for rapid data acquisition and instant processing. Fourth-generation mobile telecommunications technologies such as LTE-based solutions make it possible to solve these types of problems.
ZTE's LTE broadband multimedia trunking solution is based on LTE technology and can provide a high-speed data transmission capability of up to 100 Mbps in downlink and 50 Mbps in uplink. Therefore, it has upgraded traditional trunking services to a new level by integrating voice and video communications. Aside from traditional trunking voice communications, it also supports high-bandwidth services, such as group video calls, video surveillance. With improved efficiency of the mobile office and of law enforcement, the system makes possible the all-around management of key urban areas. ZTE also provides Emergency Communications Vehicles (ECV) to further improve emergency response capabilities.
In addition, ZTE has innovated and optimised its LTE trunking solution by providing over-the-air encryption, virtual private networking (VPN), bi-directional access authentication, end-to-end encryption and other measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of communication services, successfully meeting the varied requirements of customers.
The global markets have extensive requirements for high-bandwidth wireless trunking services. ZTE has successfully deployed wireless multimedia broadband networks in many cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, and Zhengzhou. The application of ZTE’s LTE broadband multimedia trunking solution has greatly improved the work efficiency and management capabilities. Besides, ZTE has also constructed private networks in the public safety, transport, and energy fields, and is in a leading position in both technical and commercial deployment. ZTE hopes to create more requirements and achieve a win-win situation with all partners in the value chain.
