22 October 2014, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices, has unveiled an integrated outdoor FTTdp (fibre to the distribution point) DPU product, the ZXA10 9852G, based on cutting-edge operations and management (O&M) concepts.
Announced at Broadband Worldwide Forum in Amsterdam, the ZXA10 9852G features 100M+ broadband access speed, flexible on-demand deployment, simple installation and operations and management (O&M), and a complete range of power supply modes to help carriers stand out in the ultra-fast broadband era.
The ZXA10 9852G is an integrated outdoor DPU of the ZTE FTTdp series which is an important complement to the company’s fibre-to-the-premises solution, making full use of ‘last mile’ copper cable resources, helping carriers speed up ROI (return on investment), and supporting FTTH-like high-speed access.
The ZXA10 9852G has a compact design and high reliability. All the interfaces are pluggable and equipped with a waterproof cover, facilitating onsite installation and maintenance without the need to open the cover. The ZXA10 9852G provides a one-by-one cutover solution to make the entire cutover process controllable, and employs an all-in-one power supply integrating a local power supply module, a remote power supply module, a backup battery module, and a reverse power feeding module to meet the complex power supply requirements of FTTdp nodes.
ZTE Vice President Zhu Yongxing said: “ZTE has been providing industry-leading FTTdp series products and solutions for customers worldwide backed by decades of in-depth research in copper cable access technology. The ZTE ZXA10 9852G is the latest product to show our strength and leadership in this market.”
ZTE DSL access products worldwide have exceeded 0.1 billion lines, serving 66 countries and regions including Greece, Turkey, Indonesia and Brazil. The Market Share Spreadsheet 2013 FTTx, DSL, and CMTS (Units) report from industry analyst Ovum states that ZTE ranked third in the global MSAN/DSLAN market in 2013.
