2 June 2015, Nice, France – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, is delighted to announce it has won the TMF President’s Award at the 2015 TM Forum Global Summit in Nice, for its ZSmart CC (smart city & community) solution. In addition, ZTE’s ZSmart API (application programming interface) solution was shortlisted in “The Best Solution” category for the 2015 awards. This is the second consecutive year that ZTE has won this international award, highlighting the leading position of Chinese businesses in the international telecommunications landscape.
TMF President’s Award, presented by Peter Sany, President and CEO of TM Forum, is given in recognition of the world's most advanced and innovative vendors of IT transformation. ZTE has demonstrated its expertise in the field of smart city construction, and has delivered outstanding contributions to the sector.
ZTE’s ZSmart CC solution, designed and developed by ZTEsoft, a subsidiary of ZTE Corporation, provides an infrastructure aimed at managing smart cities and smart city communities. The solution, which is based on TMF Frameworx, provides the grid management, government affairs services and handy services needed for the public to enable the government as a one-stop service platform, as well as improving the convenience of community work and service management with cloud technologies.
The ZSmart CC solution has been popularised and deployed in several cities in China since February 2014, and has also been deployed in the Yinchuan Smart Community Project, attracting the attention of government officials and leaders both domestically and internationally. Peter Sany considered the project as the most innovative smart city construction to date, representing a developing trend he noticed during his visit to Yinchuan.
