Mobile World Live and ZTE utilize 5G-A-powered broadcast at MWC Barcelona 2025

Barcelona, Spain, 3 March 2025 - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, in partnership with Mobile World Live (MWL), the official broadcast partner of MWC Barcelona 2025, has successfully broadcast live from the event using 5G-A-powered technology, demonstrating how telecommunications can empower the media industry.  

MWL, the media arm of the GSMA, is the premier destination for news, insight and intelligence for the global mobile industry, reaching thousands of industry professionals worldwide through its daily news. 

The on-site deployment of 5G-A micro BS MiCell provided high-performance network coverage in the area where MWL was broadcasting in Hall 3 at Fira Gran Via.

Furthermore, ZTE's NodeEngine enabled efficient deployment with a cost-effective private network architecture. The direct "one-hop" transmission from the interview site to the broadcast center eliminated the need for public network transmission, achieving remarkable efficiency. The air interface achieved an average latency of just 4ms, while the end-to-end service latency (including encoding and decoding) was kept under 100ms.

The successful MWL wireless broadcast at MWC Barcelona 2025 demonstrates a significant step forward, opening up new possibilities in professional interview broadcasting.
