Barcelona, Spain, 4 March 2025 - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, has unveiled its all-scenario UniSite simplified site solution and global cases at the MWC Barcelona 2025. Based on industry-leading products represented by the "UBR Pioneer", this solution helps operators expand 5G services across all frequency bands and all scenarios, creating a mobile network with the simplest sites, lowest power consumption, highest capacity, and strongest evolution capabilities.

 

UBR Innovation: Three-Dimensional Integrations

 

For multi-sector integration, ZTE's unique 12TR mid-band tri-sector UBR, combined with the industry-leading low-band tri-sector 6TR UBR, requires only two radio units to support a five-band tri-sector site.

 

For multi-band integration, ZTE has introduced the industry's first 6-band UBR, where a single radio unit covers all Sub-3GHz bands. Compared to traditional solutions, deploying 6-band UBRs reduces radio units on tower per site by 83%.

 

For multi-channel integration, ZTE has launched a series of 8TR multi-band UBRs. The tri-band 8TR UBR supports industry-highest 8×180W output power. With 8TR UBR, 4G capacity can be increased by 1.8 times and 5G capacity by 3 times.

 

These achievements stem from ZTE's continuous innovation in underlying technologies. The unique Super-N 2.0 PA architecture reduces UBR's ETSI power consumption by over 35%. Additionally, the new generation UBR combined with optimized duplexer design and digital twin based cooling system design, achieves 30% weight reduction.

 

M-MIMO Innovation: Enhanced User Experience through AI

 

Firstly, the FDD+TDD dual-band Massive MIMO is unique for delivering lightweight design with industry-highest output power. Secondly, for TDD large bandwidth, the 3.5GHz Massive MIMO supports 400M bandwidth, meeting discontinuous spectrumintegration and network sharing requirements. Furthermore, the FDD tri-band Massive MIMO features industry-highest 720W transmission power, supporting all modes for FDD spectrum capacity enhancement.

 

Addressing tower space constraints, ZTE introduces the industry's first A+P solution integrating FDD+TDD dual-band Massive MIMO with passive antenna, featuring the industry's lightest design. This solution enables direct connection to low-band UBR for most simplified site deployment.

 

Massive MIMO products integrate AI capabilities, boosting cell capacity by 30% and significantly enhancing user experience. AI beamforming substantially improves channel state estimation precision, achieving optimal beamforming performance. User-level intelligent scheduling provides personalized strategies for each user, significantly improving user perception. AI MU-MIMO intelligently increases the number of paired UEs and pairing probability, enhancing system throughput.

 

Comprehensive Indoor Coverage Solutions

 

For FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) scenarios, the solution integrates mmWave AAU, Sub6G AAU, and ZTE's commercial CPE, achieving a capacity of over 32Gbps. The end-to-end FWA solution is now commercially mature.

For high-traffic indoor areas like shopping malls and transportation hubs, quad-band QCell Pro supports flexible band combinations with peak single-user rates of 5Gbps. Combined with SuperMIMO technology, cell capacity increases 4-fold.

For low-traffic areas like residential elevators and underground parking lots, qNCR (Network Controlled Repeater) enables low-cost coverage expansion with single-device deployment without backhaul, achieving zero-interference through coordination with macro sites.

 

Cost-Effective Rural Network Solution

 

For remote rural scenarios, ZTE's RuralPilot zero-carbon site uses ultra-low-power rural-specific base station equipment, reducing site power consumption by 35%. This enables maximum savings in solar panels, batteries, power cabinets and other configurations, significantly lowering site costs.

 

For even more remote areas, ZTE offers industry's first EcoRadio, which can be deployed as a single box and works without BBU and backhaul equipment, supporting tri-band and high power to meet communication needs of small settlements.
