Istanbul, Türkiye, 4 November 2024 - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, in partnership with Turkcell, has completed the world's first end-to-end 800GE with SRv6 and EVPN ultra-high-speed field test between different sites. This milestone not only verifies the excellent performance of advanced technologies, but also injects strong impetus to global network growth.
As a world-leading multinational communications operator, Turkcell is committed to enhancing user experience through innovative technologies and boosting the in-depth integration of digital economy and social development over the past 30 years. To achieve this goal, Turkcell collaborated with ZTE to initiate the test in different sites of Bursa network in Türkiye. By deploying advanced 800GE port forwarding unit cards and M6000-16SE, Turkcell and ZTE successfully verified the end-to-end 800GE ultra-large-capacity data capability, and enabled seamless integration of SRv6 and EVPN protocols, demonstrating the determination and strength of both parties in network technology innovation and user experience improvement.
ZTE's latest generation core router, M6000-16SE, features 256 800GE ports. It offers flexible port rate configuration options and can be upgraded from 400GE to 800GE with a single click by simply replacing optical modules and upgrading configuration commands, greatly simplifying network evolution. This feature provides a solid guarantee for ultra-large-scale data traffic in the future and fully meets Turkcell's urgent demands for AI, 5G, cloud computing, and more. This test combined SRv6 and EVPN, leveraging the flexibility of SRv6 and the efficiency of EVPN to optimize resource scheduling, thereby satisfying Turkcell's requirements for network slicing and edge computing.
In the future, ZTE will continue to deepen its cooperation with Turkcell and work together to drive the wide application and ongoing innovation of 800GE with SRv6 and EVPN for broader commercialization worldwide. This partnership aims to further advance network technologies and deliver an improved network experience to users.
Prof. Dr. Vehbi Çağrı Güngör, Chief Network Technologies Officer of Turkcell, said: "To maintain Turkcell's leading position in the industry, we are committed to continuously exploring the boundaries of advanced IP technologies.
