ZTE Global Services Ecosystem Forum paves the way for a new era of ecological cooperation in the MEA region

Cairo, Egypt, 27 November 2024 – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, has launched the ZTE Global Services Ecosystem Forum 2024 in Cairo, Egypt. This marks the first time the ecological exchange event has been held on the African continent.
Under the theme of "Ultimate Service for a Win-Win Future", the forum attracted industry experts and nearly forty top partners from the MEA (Middle East and Africa) region. Participants engaged in discussions on fostering the prosperous development of the telecommunications industry in the MEA region through effective ecological cooperation.
Sun Fangping, Senior Vice President of ZTE, highlighted in his opening speech that ZTE has been dedicated to developing an end-to-end digital delivery system to provide operators and industry customers with ultimate network services. He emphasized that ZTE will continue to deepen collaboration with customers and partners in the MEA region, fostering an open and mutually beneficial ecosystem. By doing so, ZTE aims to contribute to the foundation of the region's digital economy, help bridge the digital divide, and promote efficient, green, and intelligent sustainable development.
In his keynote speech, Mohan Dass a I Albert, Integrated Solution Manager for Overseas Markets at ZTE, analyzed five key development trends in the telecommunications industry. These trends include a focus on customer-centric service quality improvement, the increasing demand for advanced connectivity in digital transformation, the growing involvement of technology giants in the telecommunications sector, the automation and AI-driven transformation of network O&M, and the importance of sustainable development for businesses. These trends present significant opportunities for collaboration and growth for ZTE and its partners.
Speaking on sustainability and technological education in African countries, Dr. Mohamed Watany, Professor of Automotive Engineering and Counsellor at the Supreme Council of Technological Education, Ministry of Higher Education, emphasized the critical role of sustainable development in environmental protection, social equity, and economic growth. He highlighted the essential contribution of telecommunications technologies to the transformation of Africa's education system and called for industry partners to work together in leveraging communications technologies to drive the sustainable development of technological education across the continent.
ZTE has been deeply engaged in exploring the MEA market and continuously improving its service capabilities through sustained investment and localization strategies. Shen Wenrong, Vice President of ZTE,, reviewed the company's development history in the region and shared insights on market trends and ongoing projects. He emphasized that ZTE will continue to build a digital and intelligent future in collaboration with its partners, leveraging its robust organizational structure, technical expertise, supply chain system, delivery capabilities, and strong local cooperation network.
Wang Xiaoxing, Vice President of ZTE, introduced the innovation progress of ZTE's network services in the MEA region under the global situation and explored how ZTE has promoted the construction of communications networks in Africa through advanced technologies and high-quality services. He called on partners from all walks of life to seize new opportunities in the digital era and promote economic growth and social progress in Africa together, driven by 5G full connection and cloud services.
At the forum, An Lunyu, Managing Director of the Engineering Outsourcing Department of ZTE MEA, explained the overall service ecosystem construction in 2024, shared the cooperation progress with mainstream partners, and analyzed the risks and opportunities of the industry in 2025. He highlighted ZTE's efforts and achievements in building an end-to-end digital and intelligent delivery system.
Yang Xu, Product Solution Director for Overseas Markets (Wired) of ZTE, made a detailed analysis of the current business situation, potential opportunities, and new growth prospects in the MEA region, in line with customer requirements. He pointed out that ZTE will continue to promote technological progress in traditional fields and foster innovative growth in new sectors, helping customers achieve better business outcomes with advanced technologies and high-quality services.
A new round of technological revolution and industrial changes are unfolding worldwide. Zhu Zhongya, Solution Director of Engineering Delivery Department at ZTE, introduced the digital and intelligent innovations in project management of Global Services. Using advanced technologies like big data and AI, ZTE's iEPMS system has significantly improved project delivery efficiency and quality. He called on all parties to work together to build an open, collaborative, and innovative digital ecosystem.
Today, compliance has become a key factor for the stability and long-term development of enterprises. Guo Juwei, Senior Compliance Expert of ZTE, analyzed the current trends in global compliance legislation and law enforcement and shared ZTE's practices and vision for compliance system construction. He also described ZTE's specific compliance requirements for partners, aiming to build a sound compliance ecosystem with all parties.
Mohamed Mostafa Adel, Engineering Delivery Management Manager of ZTE, introduced the company's quality strategy focused on customer satisfaction and creating value with an "intelligent and simplified" digital quality management approach. This model integrates quality at every stage—from efficient R&D and an intelligent supply chain to services and closed-loop problem resolution, aiming for "simplicity for customers while ensuring network security and adhering to positive health and safety goals as key strategic objectives".
As long-term partners of ZTE, Mortada Ismaeil, CEO of African Leaders Communications, Simon Dear, CEO of Tangent, Obinna Anselem, CEO of EUNATEL, and Nwaogaranya Clement Okeh, CEO of NocTek, shared successful cooperation cases with ZTE in African countries and expressed confidence in more in-depth future collaborations.
