On July 22, ZTE Corporation (Shenzhen: 000063, Hong Kong: 0763), China´s largest listed telecommunications manufacturer and leading wireless solutions provider, hosted Mr. David L. Emerson, Minister of Industry Canada and his 9-member delegation at its headquarters in Shenzhen.

Accompanied by Mr. Ding Mingfeng, VP at ZTE and Ms Lu Feizhen, President of ZTE North America, Mr. David L. Emerson toured ZTE´s demonstration hall and onsite manufacturing facility including the production lines of 3G, CDMA, NGN, ADSL, chips, and handset, showing special interest in the demonstration of ZTE´s UMTS technology and GoTa handset.

Following the tour and demonstration, Mr. Ding Mingfeng and Ms Lu Feizhen made an intensive report to the Minister about ZTE´s recent achievements and human-focused policy. " Human resource is our competitive edge," said Mr. Ding. " Although we started late in North America, we are confident of our future development there. We expect to form strategic partnerships with renowned telecom manufacturers like Nortel in North America."
" We encourage that kind of cooperation, which will be beneficial to both Canada and ZTE," noted the Minister, "We are greatly impressed by ZTE´s achievement, which is really an astonishment. "
"Over yeas ahead, we expect to build collaborative relationships with Chinese high-tech enterprise like ZTE in areas of R&D and investment."
