Government ministers and telecommunications experts from more than 22 countries visited this month´s sixth Arab Telecom and Internet Forum in Doha, Qatar, where ZTE Corporation showcased its technology and solutions including CDMA2000 1X, UMTS, and NGN.
ZTE, a gold sponsor, attracted wide interest and was encouraged by visitors to participate in the ongoing telecommunications infrastructure programmes across the region. The company´s marketing senior supervisor, Middle East Region , Dr Abdel Azziz, presented a paper on "The Broadband technology based on CDMA".
The Arab Telecom and Internet Forum is annually organized by the Arabian government and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). It plays a vital role in the telecommunication development of Arabian states. Among the visitors were the Premiers of Qatar and Egypt, ministers from the Gulf Co-operation Committee and ITU representatives.
