ZTE Corporation (Shenzhen: 000063 Hong Kong: 0763), China´s largest listed telecommunications manufacturer and leading wireless solutions provider, today announced record sales of 100 million lines of its wireless products and 20 million of its handsets.
Global sales of wireless equipment were made up of over 20 million lines of ZTE´s CDMA products, including CDMA2000; 40 million lines of GSM, including UMTS; and 40 million lines of PHS.

"ZTE has been touted as ´China´s main brand of wireless products´ and is now viewed as one of the most successful vendors with a complete range of telecommunications equipment."
ZTE has expanded its services to include fixed networks, wireless networks, data and handsets. The Corporation´s product portfolio includes CDMA, GSM, PHS, 3G (UMTS, CDMA2000 and TD-SCDMA), GoTa (Global open Trunking architecture), and total network solutions ranging from systems to terminals.
ZTE´s CDMA solutions have been deployed across China´s 18 provinces and around the world, with equipment sold to over 40 countries, making ZTE the largest Chinese provider of CDMA equipment in the world.
On the basis of its strong CDMA technology, ZTE independently developed and launched GoTa, the world´s first digital trunking technology based on CDMA2000. ZTE´s GoTa products have been deployed in countries around the world, including Malaysia, Norway and Russia. GoTa is expected to become one of the mainstream technologies that may change the pattern of the international digital trunking market.
ZTE´s GSM equipment has been deployed in more than 20 countries around the world, and ZTE´s PHS products hold a market share of 40% in China.
In the handset field, ZTE employs over 1,000 people in its R&D team. In 2004, ZTE´s handset sales achieved 10 million sets, making the Corporation the largest handset manufacturer in China.
The Corporation also has extensive 3G capability across the spectrum of UMTS, CDMA2000 and TD-SCDMA, and has become one of the few companies in the world to provide solutions that cover these main three mobile technologies.
