Barcelona, Spain, 10 March 2025 - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, at MWC Barcelona 2025, has effectively leveraged 5G-A technology to deliver wireless live streaming for on-site interviews in collaboration with Mobile World Live, alongside a seamless AR wireless live streaming demonstration.

Through the deployment of the minimalist 5G-A private network, ZTE provided MWL, the media arm of the GSMA, with a multi-camera wireless interview live streaming solution. The filming setup was streamlined and cable-free, with high-definition video transmitted in real time via the high-performance 5G-Advanced network. The footage was broadcast live on MWL website and screens at the MWC venue. Both online and on-site broadcasts delivered video quality comparable to traditional wired solutions, with seamless switching between multiple camera angles and consistent, smooth performance throughout, earning high attention and recognition from interviewees.

On ZTE's exhibition stand, AR live streaming is also powered by the minimalist 5G-A private network. Wireless cameras capture the host delivering explanations within the on-site studio, with the footage efficiently transmitted via the 5G-A network. After AR rendering and overlay, the content is displayed live on a 4.5m x 2.4m high-definition large screen. Visitors can simultaneously observe the host moving and explaining alongside the AR-enhanced live visuals, fully experiencing the flexible mobility and ultra-low latency of wireless live streaming.

In the MWL interview zone and AR broadcasting area, ZTE deployed 5G-A micro base station, namely MiCell, to ensure reliable wireless network coverage and stable transmission of videos from multiple wireless cameras. Moreover, by leveraging the NodeEngine - a base station computing engine, ZTE has accomplished direct "one-hop" transmission from the shooting site to the broadcast center, eliminating the necessity of public network transmission and effectively enhancing both transmission efficiency and security. The 5G-A minimalist private network has opened up a broad and dependable "channel" for broadcasting services, enabling wireless transmission with an average air interface latency of merely 4ms, while the end-to-end service latency (including encoding and decoding) has been consistently kept under 100ms.

At MWC Barcelona 2025, the multi-scenario application of 5G-A wireless live streaming represents a significant practical advancement in the 5G-A technology empowering the media industry's transition to wireless live broadcasting. It offers a brand-new technical solution for various types of live streaming services.

Moving forward, ZTE will continue to deepen its efforts in leveraging 5G-A technology to drive new services, new scenarios, and new applications. By injecting fresh momentum into the industry and delivering superior services to users, ZTE aims to unleash new vitality in the digital economy.
