ZTE and Ericsson jointly announced today the signing of a strategic alliance agreement to deliver TD-SCDMA solutions for China. Under the agreement, ZTE and Ericsson will commence close technical cooperation in the TD-SCDMA area.
The alliance builds upon ZTE´s rich experience and world-leading expertise in the TD-SCDMA area and Ericsson´s global leadership and market presence in third generation (3G) mobile network solutions. It reinforces both parties´ dedication to leverage respective strengths to provide the best-in-class solutions for customers.
In accordance with the agreement, Ericsson is to integrate ZTE´s TD-SCDMA Node B into its radio access network, including hardware and software, on an OEM basis. As part of the agreement, the two parties will team up to participate in the TD-SCDMA trials in China.
