ZTE Corporation (Shenzhen:000063, HongKong:0763 ) China´s leading telecommunications manufacturer and supplier of wireless technology, Access, Broadband Data, Wireless, Transmission, IN/OSS and CPE technologies, makes its debut in Australia today, where it appears at CeBIT Australia (Hall 1, Stand A45) at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour.
ZTE, which specialises in Access, Broadband Data, Wireless, Transmission, IN/OSS and CPE technologies, sees Australia as a key market as the Corporation continues to develop its international success, which is built on an impressive portfolio of cost-efficient and customer-orientated solutions - both fixed and wireless and embracing all technologies.
"The telecommunications industry is very competitive today, many Australian operators are planning networks upgrading and expansion to meet new technologies and services requirements. ZTE has the solutions, the expertise and the world-class support to assist Australian operators to meet the challenges," said Tony Lin, ZTE´s General Manager for the region.
"We are looking forward to meeting potential customers at the show. We will demonstrate why Australian operators should talk to us when planning future networking requirements."
ZTE´s growth - running at 34% per year - continues at a great pace and, in addition to an array of impressive business wins, the company has signed several significant co-operation agreements in 2005. Among them, announced last week, the signing of a strategic alliance agreement with Ericsson to deliver TD-SCDMA solutions to China. The alliance builds upon ZTE´s rich experience and world-leading expertise in the TD-SCDMA area and Ericsson´s global leadership and market presence in third generation (3G) mobile network solutions. It reinforces both parties´ dedication to leverage respective strengths to provide the best-in-class solutions for customers.
Also in 2005, ZTE announced partnerships with Alcatel, France Telecom and a collaboration with US based Intel Corporation to jointly deliver global broadband wireless solutions using WiMAX technology, as well as its first contract in Singapore, one of Asia´s flagship telecoms markets, which will see ZTE supply an Intelligent Network system to support the IDD Prepaid services for leading operator, MobileOne Limited.
"The Group actively pursued its globalisation strategy during the first quarter," added Mr. Hou Weigui, Chairman of ZTE. "Through the localisation of its human resources and services and optimising its international operational efficiency, the Group has made progress in the development of its presence in international markets."
