On May 20, Icelandic President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, with a delegation of members from his Cabinet and business circles paid a visit to ZTE Shanghai R&D Center. ZTE Corporation (Shenzhen: 000063, Hong Kong: 0763), China´s largest listed telecommunications manufacturer and leading wireless solutions provider greeted the distinguished guests warmly.
Accompanied by Mr Tu Biqin, Director of ZTE Shanghai R&D Center, the President was shown around the whole center, and was greatly impressed by ZTE´s industry-leading products like UMTS, NGN, handsets and IPTV.
"We are confident of ZTE´s formidable R&D capability and rapid global expansion, and expect that ZTE would establish long-term and deep-rooted partnerships with Icelandic operators, thereby enhancing the development of Icelandic telecommunications." remarked the President.
